Kamikaze= Japanese pilots who in World War II made deliberate suicidal crashes into enemy targets wikipedia

A cherry blossom is the flower of the Japanese cherry tree. The cherry blossom is considered the national flower of Japan.

The 5/7/5 contest rule requirements are only the syllable count. I chose to write a 5/7/5 haiku that has additional rules. This is a spring haiku due to the cherry blossom.

HAIKU
Definition: haiku is a short poem that uses imagistic language to convey the essence of an experience of nature intuitively linked to the human condition.

The essence of haiku is cutting (KIRU) represented by the juxtaposition of two images or ideas separated by a (KIREJI) dash or ellipsis (~ ... )

KIGO (seasonal reference), usually drawn from a (SAIJIKI) an extensive list of season terms. if you wish to read a saijiki
