As a child, the thought that people would die terrified me. Mother thought I needed to learn to deal with it. I couldn't bear to see a dead body. When Mom went to the funeral parlor, I stayed in the car. The funeral director was an artist. and he'd sculpted a head Mom thought I like to see, so she brought it out to show me. I thought it was the dead man head and I freaked out.
