Pizza Party

'What the devil is goin' on?' Jake's father shouted from upstairs.
Jake was mortified. He was hoping Lucy didn't hear his father scream.
This was his one chance to ask Lucy to the deb's ball.
Jake turned down the volume.
'Guys,' he whispered,' keep it down, my old man is awake.'
He scanned the room for Lucy. She was out on the patio, prepping the pizza fire oven.
'Eh,' Jake enquired, 'how d'ya do that?' 'Dad's a chef,' she replied nonchalantly.
Jake gazed at Lucy, besotted by her blonde tresses. Lucy smiled coyly.
His young heart sang, burning with love.
