Born to us a very long time ago
Heralded by angels to bring us near
Telling us we had nothing to fear
For from this divine babe all hope would flow
From a young age he taught what we should know
What tenets every human should hold dear
Made our path to eternity so clear
If we loved all Heaven's gate we'd be shown

He was both wholly human and divine
And showed us the way to a faith filled life
He'd be savior to all-- save us from sin
In His passion he gave us many signs
Of love and forgiveness- e'en in his strife
With his resurrection new life we win
