Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
May you show up to show off again

Ode to New York City

The city that never sleeps
Is resting . . .
testing
the grit of its endurance.

Crying . . .
for those dying,
laid to rest in unmarked graves.

 Dreaming . . .
scheming
ways to survive and surmount.

The city from which so much is expected
is sleeping . . .
weeping

But wait, the City of Dreams
 will awaken . . .
shaken,
yet its spirit not forsaken.
