What Was Missing

by June Sargent

With milk and honey he could thrive
And all those fruits and nuts to eat
Had all he needed to survive
But still he did not feel complete

There had to be a sweeter way
To fill those lonesome hours each day
So Adam would no longer grieve
Our loving God created Eve
