Writing Prompt Write a Minute Poem. The Minute Poem is rhyming verse form consisting of 12 lines of 60 syllables written in strict iambic meter. A mockingbird can actually sound like a car alarm, a barking dog, crickets, and a variety of birds. They can be amusing- and annoying at times! By the way, this was a true story...it happened to our son and his family.
