Quarantine Family Life

After her teleconference, Cathy found their kitchen table covered in drawings and paper cuttings. In one chair, five-year-old Brittany sat coloring, a serious frown adorning her face.
“What’s up, Ladybug?”
“My hands are so-o-o-o busy, Momma!” Brittany kept coloring.
Cathy frowned. “O-O-Oka-a-ay…?”
Brittany looked up, wide-eyed. “Daddy said you sent him outside cuz he needed somethin’ else to keep his hands busy.”
Cathy fought the grin that threatened.
“It’s cold outside!” Brittany held up her masterpiece. “See, Momma? Bu-u-usy hands!”
