A Kyrielle for the Repetition Contest

Fear Not the Wind

by June Sargent

Repetition Contest Winner
When skies are blue and sun is bright,
it's easy for our hearts to leap
with joy, because the world's alright.
Fear not the wind if roots are deep.

But when a dark cloud passes by,
uncertainty begins to creep
as eyes behold a stormy sky.
Fear not the wind if roots are deep.

The storm will end, the wind will cease,
as rain-filled clouds no longer weep.
Life once again abounds with peace.
Fear not the wind if roots are deep.
