Wisteria Wrath

by RodG

Wisteria Wrath was born with rage
it's in her DNA.
A tantrum that began at birth
grew more intense each day.

Such yowling silenced alley cats,
out-shrilled all screeching owls.
A pack of wolves could not compete
with any of her howls.

This babe became an angry child
whose red-hot temper flared.
One word, a glance evoked rebuke.
With fiery eyes she glared.

Her classmates shied away from her,
especially the boys.
She'd chase them, pound them with her fists
and smash to bits their toys.

A teenager with flaming hair
and temp'rament that matched.
If she got mad, you owned a car,
both it and you got scratched.

A woman now with scorching tongue,
a dragon she's become.
Yes, infamous for her harangues,
tirades that leave one numb.

Wisteria's angry all the time,
at colleagues, cousins, too.
She'll rant and rave; sometimes there's blows
that leave them black and blue.
