Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
a Rispetto about robins

A Hint of Spring

A flock of robins in the yard
surprised me as the sun arose.
They pecked around dead leaves frost-scarred
near my hard-frozen garden hose.

They hopped about from bush to tree
before my shadow made them flee.
Their call until they all took wing
a truly welcome hint of spring
