Alarm goes off
The news comes on
Last night’s debate—let’s see who won.
Truth be told, I’m sick of hearing
All the bickering; ‘tis wearing,
But the pundits are still punding
Candidates coffers are funding.
So much anger that I hate
To listen, I just get irate.
Down the stairs come rowdy boys,
Everywhere around me, noise!
Look outside at falling snow,
Warm in here, but got to go.
On TV, another riot,
I step outside—
White, pristine quiet.
