Who Am I ?

I am who I am because I'm a child of God

I wonder why my parents didn't spare the rod.

I hear songs of joy, worship, and praise

I see many who have been homeless for days

I want my poems to be read abroad

I am who I am because I'm a child of God.

I pretend I'm on a secret and important mission

I feel God has given me a personal vision

I touch the lives of the young and old

I worry about nothing, knowing God's in control

I cry when people are abused and defraud

I am who I am because I'm a child of God

I understand Jesus' coming is not far away

I say to all... be watchful and pray.

I dream of that day when He returns in clouds of Glory!

I try to be obedient when sharing this story.

I hope one-day mankind will not be at odds

I am who I am because I'm a child of God.
