A Typical Day Contest Winner
Morning.
I slide off bed into slippers and shuffle to the kitchen. (picture Tim Conway.)
Turn on the news. Listen a minute. Turn it off. Don’t start day upset. No point.
Grab protein drink – daughter ordered. Go outside to check on my birds—cardinals, chickadees, gold finches, tit mice. What do I see? The mighty multipliers - Sparrows and squirrels.
Flowers are still blooming.
It’s a good day to write. (when is it not?)
What time is it? Been writing for hours. I stand. (picture Tim Conway’s father!)
Fix supper. Then back to writing.
Fall asleep at desk.
Bonk.
