My Peace Is Found

My peace is found in lazy mountain streams
That ripple over stones and submerged rocks.
In shallow pools I rediscover dreams,
Converse with rainbow trout, have friendly talks.
Like dandelion fluff my worries flee
And I am soon more mellow and content.
The joy I feel while sitting silently
Evokes long sighs, remorse for days misspent..
I may decline to cast a line today,
But spread my soft blue blanket, nap instead
Or watch the leaf boats pass and drift away.
Care free, I fail to see how time has sped.
When my life teems with troubles, curses, screams
My peace is found in lazy mountain streams.

A Barbara Ann sonnet is an adaptation of the Shakespearian, but it has the unique feature of the first and last lines being identical. The concluding couplet is, therefore, an A rhyme. Iambic pentameter is used.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
