Molly was only Fourteen, years old when she first met Bobby.
Although, they practically grew up together, she lived in a small town.

The year was 1963 and Molly and Bobby just finished Tenth grade at J Mason Tomlin in Mantua.
They were looking forward to the Summer and swimming in Almanesson lake in Blackwood.

They also, loved going to the outdoor movie theater.

Molly liked these things but not so for Bobby.

One day, Bobby decided to ask Molly out on a serious date.
You see, he was getting serious and he wanted to tell her his feelings.
Although, she was a little bit scared at first?
She really cared about Bobby. So, she felt that she could be ready?

So, the plan was to get use of the father's Plymouth Valiant!
Yes, it's a 1962 classic.

Dad had been restoring it and teaching Bobby to drive.
And, even though Bobby didn't have a license?
He felt he could take and handle the car for a nice date with Molly.

So, after his parents left for dinner, Bobby goes and gets the keys from his father's dresser.
He starts the car up and goes to pick up Molly.
(A completes a surprise)

As The Story goes, they were supposed to see the movie, "Devil Doll!"
As they were traveling down Route 9 to go to the Starlight Outdoor movie theater.
Bobby felt that they could have time to see the movie and get the car back.
(Before dad would know

The only problem was on the way down Route 9 there was a drunk driver?
And, as a result?
There was head on right before the movie theater!

The local police report stated that the teenagers were dead on impact!
An apparent drunk driver.
It stated that the driver could possibly been going a hundred miles an hour!
Both sets of parents were devastated!

Many years have passed and they say when you go past this the area.
(Right before the Starlight Movie theater)
