Who I Want to Meet!

"I write these out of necessity,
because your life is necessary!

I want a homeless addict,
to be the next person I meet,
as I was once where they are,
and help them find God,
and come home off the street!

Because they are still a person,
with feelings and rights!

They need love like we all do,
and deserve our light!

Just with drugs,
they try to hide,
away from The Light of A Justful God,
whose arms are always,
ALWAYS open wide!

I want to make them,
crack a smile!

Which they probably haven't done,
in a very long while!

Because if being saved,
has taught me anything,
it's that no one is a lost cause,
and that even the strongest,
will sometimes fall!

That my friends,
is where we come in!

We help them up,
and we pray over our sins!

Because I am no better,
than that beggar!

The one you turn your eyes away from,
when they come to greet,
or that junkie,
who lives and may die,
on the streets!"

We all deserve love and these people are human just like us! We are no better than any homeless person! I was once homeless in active addiction and it was so scary not knowing where I was going to lay my head down at night! I have almost 8 months clean and sober now By The Grace of God!!! Hallelujah!!! You never know if you are entertaining angels when you meet these people and you never know you might end up where they are sometime in life!
