Orange-red quilt works in 5-7-5

Mondrian patterns - read notes

by Mark D. R.

Mondrian patterns
carefully crafted in fields
as orange-red quilts.

5-7-5 writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Write a 5-7-5 Poem! This is a poem with only three lines. The catch is there is a strict syllable count. The first line has 5 syllables, second 7, third 5 again.

This FanArt image is not representative of the primary colors that Mondrian used to paint some of his popular ones in geometric designs. But with some poetic license, it gives you idea of a quilt with a pattern, or how a farmer's field might appear from a vantage point high above - a patchwork of colors.

Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan, aka Piet Mondrian, is a Dutch painter and theoretician who is regarded as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century per Wikipedia.
