Standing Here
Arms Outstretched
The golden sun upon my face…
Peace I seek within this place,
Behind eyelids
Mem’ries impart
Saving grace

Breathing deep
Mind adrift
I find you with that smile...
Hair still big in eighties’ style,
Suntanned skin
Whispers heat...
Passions erstwhile

Reliving moments
Without regret
You nod farewell, winking for fun...
Knowing that we’ll never be done,
Hearts entwined
Forever loved
Forever young
