A lyrical poem...

Where The Sea Meets The Land

by Diana L Crawford

Love, actually. Contest Winner

The gentle man inside your dreams
Is longing for release
To travel far beyond his youth
To find his way to peace

And all that’s shown along your path
Is growth beyond belief
But with that growth a price you pay
Strong hands must bear the grief

Feel the warmth of my touch
     Not outside but in here
Where the sea meets the land
     And love soothes the fear

And looking close I also see
A most tender loving soul
Not meant to live alone in life
Without a love to hold

A love who sees the dream that lies
Inside your heart so dear
And without words our hearts do speak
A friend forever near

Feel the warmth of my touch
     Not outside but in here
Where the sea meets the land
     And love soothes the fear

And maybe somewhere love will grow
Into a golden thing
So when the winds do cry of cold
My love will be your Spring

This lyrical poem is dedicated to someone that I loved once upon a time. He has since passed from this earth, but I will always hold a special place in my heart for him. The sea represents his water sign and the land represents my earth sign.
