Memories Of Youth And Beauty

by Raffaelina Lowcock

My memories are not marred by age
But enhanced by youth
The years between are blind

There is a picture in my mind
Not too hard to find
Of a man that once I knew

So when I write your name
Your face is still the same
As the day that we first met

I wonder, when you read this
In your mind do you remember
The face that you first saw

Our young years flew by
Yet our memories sustain
The carefree beauty of those days

The easiness of those youthful ways

Although my heart is filled with a lifetime of love
With my wonderful husband and beautiful sons
There is still a corner in my heart where I see that face
An unknown stranger dancing with me In that lovely venue... never forgotten place
