Ode to a Lifelong Friend

Oh, for the comfort you bring to my day,
Door shut and lights low – it’s our getaway
 
Your soothing motion against my tired skin,
Brings me back from the brink time and a-gin*
 
Such complete embrace to relieve my stress,
Warmed with a fragrance only you possess
 
Whether coated in oils or fluffy suds,
Nothing compares to our baths, my dear tub!
