Coats of color can’t disguise

hidden hurts ‘neath haunted eyes –

Glossy glam may grant relief

from the farce of friends’ deceit,

But torn trust takes more than truth

dulls the distant dreams of youth…
 
 
Smile, my sweet – sell stardom’s lies
