A Familiar Love

Another love poem Contest Winner 

a sigh, a wink, a passing touch
a reassurance in the night
 
a steady hold, a cane, a crutch
a guiding hand for waning sight
 
soft reminders, a gentle nudge
“Found your book” and “I’ll get the light”
 
‘Love’ always said, though not spoken much –
It’s sweet, it’s familiar, it’s perfectly right!
