Our Legacy

There is no "I" in USA,
but there is an "US."

It stands for our togetherness
through trying times, we trust.

It's said we are a melting pot,
an amalgam of all lands.

Home of the free because of the brave,
united helping hands.

We've been encouraged to speak up,
to vote, and challenge laws.

Independence is our claim;
freedom is our cause.

Our colors are red, white, and blue,
designed with stripes and stars.

And though we've known good times and bad,
the glory is all ours.
