Ode to mom, my cherished one
who leaves lights on for me.
She understands and celebrates,
accepts me, as I be.

Life lessons shared, throughout the years,
her words rang true, I found.
The family, her greatest joy,
in love, forever bound.

Such wonderful adventures,
have become warm memories ~
the sparkling stars of Zanzibar,
in her eyes, I can still see.

So content within herself,
a life in joyous mode,
