You cannot change what is to come

Reaper

by Mia Twysted

Death
It pledges me
Since my childhood
Till this day it still remains
Afraid to sleep and to dream
My eyes stay open
Defeating
Death

Eyes
Stay open
Alert vigilant
Fighting to see the sunrise
A sunrise that holds the key
To keeping me alive
They do it
Eyes

Night
I'm in love
With the moon and stars
Coming alive after dark
I thrive awake and alert
Becoming my best
When it's dark
Night

Death
Will find me
Someday I am sure
Just before sunrise he'll come
He'll hold out his hand for me
Having shown me life
He'll claim me
Death
