born from love, the lasting kind
into a world of truth and warmth
smiling faces became my parents
I'd like to think of my own choice

carried with care in gentle hands
my introduction to a world so large
then placed upon a beating heart
this sound of life became my voice

proud faces greeting my every wake
assuring eyes and unforced smiles
protecting me with sleepless joy
nesting near, like my angel dove

with all the care inside their heart
they beckon me to come to them
with open arms and bended knee
they ask of me to look above

to understand that life for us
is new to all and all will change
but love they grew right here inside
my heart protects just like a glove

I'm walking now toward their gift
a love for life and strength to know
