A desperate attempt to be saved
Does Anyone Care?

I looked out over the bay; the dying sun was sinking. Down below, the ocean waves rippled with tiny white caps. I had made a pact with myself, if someone showed a kindness or interest in my presence on the bridge ledge, I would not do it. I stepped out, the wind almost made the decision for me. I grasped the rail and pulled myself back. I looked about. Does anyone care? No one came.
