When The Sky Was The Limit

by BlueMarble

Memories Contest Winner
Now that I’m old -
Mellow and mild,
I smile remembering
When I was just a bit wild.
Looking at old photos
Brings back my memory
Of those crazy days
So young and free.
I find now a favorite
That was taken when I
Tried out my wings
And danced in the sky.
Is it that I was young?
Or was I insane,
To find the courage
To jump from that plane?
Whatever the answer,
I can honestly say -
I waltzed with angels
In heaven that day.
From terror to bliss
On the count of ten,
Oh to be young
And do it again!
