A 50-word fruit story entry
A Valentines Day Surprise
by RodG
I'd just given Angela, my personal trainer, a store-wrapped fruit basket.
"What's this for?" she smiled.
"Uh . . . Services rendered. You helped me . . . so much."
"A card, too? 'Be my Valentine.' Is this a joke?"
I hadn't seen the card.
I grinned. "No."
"Yes!" She threw her arms around me.

Writing Prompt This is a prose fiction contest. You are to write a dribble fiction (50-words) that has to do in some way, shape, or form with some kind of fruit...that's it - no more specifics than that. Make us laugh, make us cry, make us sigh...just make enough of an impression that we vote for yours! ;) :) |
