Feeling Bullied

by June Sargent

Being different was a crime
Feeling bullied most of the time
Ugly glasses and weird braces
Can't forget those jeering faces

Guess I was a little chubby
Earned the title of Miss Tubby
Had to squeeze into two spaces
Can't forget those jeering faces

Never was I picked for dodge ball
'Cuz of my tendency to fall
Nor was I much good at races
Can't forget those jeering faces

One day glasses became tres chic
Being a nerd was now unique
Lost my weight by jogging places
I forgot those jeering faces

Moral of the story is this
Give all bullies a goodbye kiss
Life will put them through their paces
Just forget those jeering faces

Writing Prompt
Pick an emotion and write a poem of any type.

This is a modified kyrielle. The last line of the fourth and fifth stanzas aren't exactly like the other repeated lines. But, they get the point across...
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
