Silence Isn't Golden

by Rickie1

The author has placed a warning on this post for violence.

Ryker is a mean drunk, argumentative, spontaneously violent. Shannon was an innocent, pretty, little girl, creamy skin, blue eyes with beautiful, long, red hair. Little self-esteem. Easily manipulated and controlled.

Shrieking uncontrollably, Ryker dragged Shannon out of the bar. "You were talking to those men."

"They were just being friendly."

"Don't lie to me. Just shut up!"

"Nothing was going on."

Striking her with a calloused hand, "I said shut up!"

Whimpering, her knees buckled. "Please don't! It won't happen again."

"No, it won't." His gnarly fist slammed into the side of her head.

She fell to the sidewalk...forever silent.

I hope the violence of beating a young innocent women disgust you as much as it does me. Sadly a common and true story. The narration in the beginning is the story being told. This is a dramatized true story. A man beat his girlfriend to the side walk, outside of a bar, in broad daylight, in the middle of a small Upstate New York town .
