Flash fiction 50 words
Spring Days
by zanya
Delicate rays of Spring sunshine shone through the trees.

Resting his weathered hands on the spade handle, Joe glanced upwards.
Suddenly all went quiet. A fledgeling yellowhammer lay lifeless, beneath the tree.
Mother Nature donned Her mourning dress.
