Broken Wings

by patcelaw

My wings had been broken
and I was sure I'd not fly again
that is when the Lord
Sweetly brought my love in
He saw my broken wings
He loved me like no other
He asked my hand in marriage
with him I became a mother.
Marriage was not always easy
but rewarding were the years
til the day his was taken from me
now I'm living alone, holding
on to wonderful memories
of the man who rescued me.
