The Seniors' Christmas gift exchange had just ended. Edna was beaming.
"Such a lovely silver hairbrush!" I said. "Which resident gave it to you?"
"I think Old Nick who's standing by the door. He's been looking at me with twinkling eyes."
I glimpsed the back of a red suit leaving.
