Broken faith is a lot to ask...
Such Faith
His faith is such he knows you’ll walk
quickly on past, no second thought
He believes you care not one wit
for him, his plight – to you, unfit
Her faith is such she feels your eyes
glances that silently chastise
She believes you see her as less
than worthy of polite address
Their faith is such they know you’ll cross
the street to avoid their taunts and scoffs
They believe their only defense
is a rude, uncivil offense
Forged in flames you can’t understand
All lives nothing like they had planned
As such their Faith is strong yet dark
Fire and life have left their mark
So, I’m begging you now
Swallow your pride
Please,
BREAK THEIR FAITH…
Welcome them inside
