Answering a Challenge from Deans Sinister Sonnet contest

Sinister Enough

A sinister sonnet Dean said to write,
although not my genre I'll have a go.
Come up with something that gives you a fright
If I don't write this, then you'll never know.

A sinister subject now have to find
Gruesome and mean, with a twist at the end.
I'll tell you my secret hope you won't mind?
About the time, when I murdered my friend.

A bright sunny day we went for a walk
stopped by the well, then I pushed her right in.
I lied to the cops when we had a talk
Said she tripped and just fell, covered my sin.

So if you have doubts the truth I should tell;
Come walking with me, I'll show you the well.

I have entered this contest as I had a challenge from Dean to try one LOL. I hope you enjoy my Sinister tale it was fun to think up .
Meter may be a little out still struggling with exact pentameter requirements. I think though each line has 10 syllables. Any suggestions welcomed.
