Gently By the Stream

This morning I awakened early and ate a light breakfast. I glanced at the clock and saw that it was only 5:30 a.m. I recite The Angelus at 6:00 a.m. I read my prayer books, feeling peace in my soul.
After a refreshing shower, I took a walk along the garden path, and down to the stream where I carefully treaded on rock after rock. In the distance I heard a phone ringing. Sunlight poured through, over and around prickly pine trees. Birds fluttered across the stream. fresh air cooled my face and hands. Shining, joyful, glorious, luminous morn!
