Dangerous battles on the front porch...

Hummer Hostility

by Y. M. Roger

Formidable and frenzied,
they’re scouts with suicide speed –

Bombardiers that bump, bounce back…
  Tangling*. Tweedling*.  Thwack!

They are masters of melee
at the cute candy café -

Tiny guards guided by greed.
