Stolen Memories
by Spiritual Echo

Grappling for something positive to say, Gloria stood beside her devastated daughter staring at the scorched bricks, all that was left of their home.
When the evacuation order came, they'd been at the fall fair, laughing and playing games as their house burned. No chance to grab a precious doll or photo albums, everything was gone...forever.
Remembering the fun they'd had, Gloria smiled and hugged her daughter. "I'm glad I didn't waste the day cleaning."
