A Fluffy Piece of Monorhyme

Made in the Shade

by June Sargent

Thought I had it made in the shade
where I felt safe and unafraid
No matter how well plans are laid
pesky humans always invade
Might be time to get that upgrade
from garden where flowers are displayed
to farm with vegetables for trade
No more tourists on parade
I'll take crickets' serenade
Perhaps beaver can build a blockade
Pros and cons having been weighed
Decision's made - I shall end my tirade
