Reflections

by fm wright

It's the sky and it's not the sky;
though aloft it appears to be nigh.
It's a rock and it's not a rock
as its appearance plainly mocks.
I looked left and I looked right;
just what, oh what did I sight?
I looked high and I looked low.
I looked to and I looked fro.
While I looked upon a plant
what I found to be evident
is that it's a tree and not a tree,
and to my discovery
mirrored in reverse direction
a vision of me and then not me.
Then what, oh what do I see?
I ponder at the impressions
imaged there upon the lake.
Making no hesitation
in my determination
that they are without a mistake
merely reflections.

Just some rhyming lines I put together about reflections. Something that came into my head one day so I jotted them down.
