Created for us
God's Masterpiece

When God created Heaven and Earth,
with brush and paints in hand,
He had a vision in his mind,
so sure of what He'd planned.
The yellow sun against blue sky,
the moon a glowing white.
A million brilliant stars above
to guide us in the night.
Each day His sunrise bathes the Earth
in yellow, orange, red.
Each evening golden sunsets,
usher the Earth to bed.
The glowing green of forests,
the lovely ocean blue.
Flowers all around us,
in every different hue.
The golden sands of deserts,
shimmering in the sun.
With grand brush strokes he painted,
'till his masterpiece was done.
He sat back to admire
all He created there,
then placed all living creatures down,
so this wonder they could share.
How lucky we are this artist
that we know as God above,
gave us all this precious Earth,
to tend to and to love.
