Sometimes, ya gotta do whatcha gotta do
The Mayor's Commencement Address
by Y. M. Roger
Aaahhem.
Mayor Thrumble's throat-clearing reverberated everywhere.
“Don't!” My internal red voice screamed.
“Gotta.” My calm, green voice soothed.
“Everyone’s watching, green!”
Coooouughhhh.
“Yeah, red, they are. Watching him unable to speak.”
I exited quickly.
“How embarrassing!”
“Shut-up, red.”
Cough. Aaaaahhhhh-heemm!
I handed the mayor the water and sat back down.
