Pa's Pesky Puppy

Pa’s puppy peed profusely on Ms. Peeples’ patent pumps
And then proceeded, purposely, to pee on Pastor Peet
Pa was apoplectic and apologized profusely but
Ms. Peeples pouted, peevishly, and pointed at her feet;

“Professor, might I please prevail upon your perspicacity
To pick your pesky puppy up and put him in his pen?
Put out by her paltry praise, Pa picked the pesky puppy up,
And held him so quite possibly he’d pee on her again.

But Pastor Peet politely pried the pesky puppy from my pa,
And patting him protectively, prepared to say a prayer:
Oh Lord, please bless…” he stopped and promptly put the pesky puppy down
As more prodigious puppy pee was spurting everywhere.
