A good and worthy human being.
He’s an elderly gentleman, pushing his 80th year
white haired, ruddy completion in the advanced
stage of distinguished balding, but never austere
He loves to talk and shoot the breeze
a salesman by trade in an earlier day
stories of past times flow with amazing ease
Although a man who loves to talk
his is one of action with a golden heart
when it comes to helping others he never balks
He shares his extensive knowledge of wine
at Roosevelt University’s Institute for Seniors
teaching those who have reached the golden time
With his wife, Molly, as his navigator
they work as unpaid drivers for NTS/NW
bringing help to their needy neighbors
As a volunteer driver he provides escorted
transportation for seniors in our community
who need help and have a need to be supported
Two times per week he goes the extra mile
brings Meals on Wheels to the house bound
tells a pleasant story hoping to light a smile
Sully is the epitome of kindness, his theme
is “Love thy Neighbor” in such divisive times
he's the essence of a good human being
I am so honor that he counts me as a friend
there is no more noble human a man can be
he will remain my treasure friend to the end
