Everyone of us has flaws,
on that we can agree.
None of us are perfect,
including you and me.
Some people like to gamble
and others like to drink,
some people only eat fast food...
Wait!
That's also me I think!
The flaw I have about myself,
I wish I could deny.
But everyday I practice it,
about this I can't lie.
No matter how I spin it
or how much I pretend,
I can't hold on to money,
I just love to overspend!
Don't get me wrong,
I only buy the things I REALLY need.
Like the complete set of Lord of The Rings,
(blu-ray...not DVD).
Or the latest kitchen gadget,
that will chop, shred and puree'
No matter that I never cook,
a sale was on that day!
I bought a carpet cleaner,
in case I ever get some rugs,
a blanket that has arm sleeves,
to keep warm and give out hugs.
A year's supply of cereal,
I just can't help but buy it.
A small amount of weed,
in case I get the urge to try it!
Twenty pairs of running shoes...
No, running's not my game.
But they were so damn pretty,
I still bought them just the same.
I can't resist a bargain,
rummage sales make me smile.
A day of buying lots of junk,
I'm broke in just a while.
Bill money's what I freely spend,
I'm sure that we'll make due.
Without electricity for a bit,
without the internet too.
I know it's wrong and it's a flaw,
a compulsion I can't end.
But this lament's over,
I've got to go...
I've got some cash to spend!
