A chapter in the book Poetry NOOK

The Kitten and the Fly

by Bucketlist

This young kitten took a nap one day
Then he woke up wanting to play
On his back he had slept and now
He had to get on all fours somehow

He tried and tried with no luck at all
Until he saw a fly drop off the wall
And land on the floor upside down
The kitten watched it act like a clown

The fly had all his legs up in the air
The kitten's face had an intense stare
As the fly flipped and flopped around
Turned his body so his legs were down

"Ah Ha! I see how it's done" kitten said
"Now I can get off this sofa bed"
He flipped right over onto his paws
Then quickly ran to play outdoors
