First in the Robert's Advenures Series.
Robert's Special Day
Robert Marcus Fredrick Dune
had a special birthday balloon.
Not an ordinary one that you'd tie on a rail,
but one with a basket in which he could sail,
above the clouds in the big blue sky,
eating his lunch as he flies on by.
Peanut butter and jelly on toast,
the food that Robert likes the most!
Robert Marcus Fredrick Dune
waited patiently and soon,
his mother made him a birthday cake.
Not an ordinary one that most moms would bake,
but a giant one that was three feet tall!
He wondered if he could eat it all.
Robert Marcus Fredrick Dune
wanted so much to play a tune.
So his birthday gift was a horn to play,
he practiced with it everyday.
When he grows up to be a man,
he'll be the leader of a marching band!
Robert Marcus Fredrick Dune's
birthday party is today at noon.
Robert is feeling so excited,
waiting for his friends that he invited.
Later on Robert was tucked in his bed,
while thoughts of his birthday still swirled in his head.
A brand new puppy curled up at his feet,
as contently Robert fell off to sleep.
